SugarLoom started in 2015 with a group of eight singers who averaged 70 years old. Since then, three have retired, three have died, and one is lost in his house looking for his Roy Rogers hat and cap pistol.
Don Pawlitschek (Paul it check) is the last remaining member.
Don gets the music tracks from Ireland, then reworks the music and adds additional instruments. It usually takes two days to a week to complete a song……. Mainly because he keeps falling asleep at the computer.
Don gave up a promising career as a skydiver to form the group. He couldn’t get a parachute big enough to let him float gracefully to the ground.
He was a Chippendale dancer for a while, but his knees kept slipping out of his tight little suit.
But Don is tenacious, and he didn’t feel that an eighty one year-old man should quit. So he got himself a tummy tuck or two ….or three. Wrapped tin foil around his aching knees.

Don has performed with: Mankato Riverblenders, Sweet Adelines, Popps and the Pawlitscheks, Donna Douglas (Beverly Hillbillies), and Grand Ol Opry stars: Connie Smith, Jean Shepard, Jack Greene and many others. Playing “crowd pleasing” music that always gets their audience clapping, laughing, singing and dancing.
